ABSA (Re-)Branding

ABSA required a refreshed visual identity that resonated with a diverse student audience while maintaining institutional credibility. The rebrand needed to function across digital, print, and event environments, supporting both everyday communications and high-visibility campaigns.

This was the pre-existing logo. According to the founder of ABSA, it did not hold any significance or meaning, and was simply inspired by the KPMG logo.

Task

Create a flexible, recognisable brand identity that balanced approachability with professionalism, and could be consistently applied by future committees.

The Challenge

Creating an identity that was professional but still felt young and fun, blending into both student and industry environments.

Who says professionalism can't come with personality? Rebranding ABSA meant rejuvenating the brand’s identity, from bringing its signature blue back to life, to creating a brand strategy that focused on creativity and innovation.
